collaborated with the planning department to drive engagement for success in the planning process. Our design is a large-scale, mixed-use residential development including residents’ lounge, private dining spaces, gym, internal landscaped courtyard and semi-basement car park. The two buildings step across the site between 5 and 12 storeys and feature 2 tonnes of facing brickwork facades with a gold accent in window reveals and gable end feature fins. The development widens the publicly accessible
pavements and new south-facing public hard and soft landscaped spaces make a positive contribution to the redevelopment of the city.
Sandacre Street in central Leicester is a residential build-to-rent (BTR) scheme commissioned by West London Properties Ltd & Delph Property Group with a value of approximately £50m. Our challenge was to design a new PRS residential development on an existing car park in a conservation area in Leicester city centre. Our target for the scheme was 250 apartments with associated car parking.
Our team exceeded their target, achieving 267, 1- and 2-bed apartments over two buildings. The development also features 100 car parking spaces, 350m2 of shared amenity space and new public realm and landscape spaces.
