St Albans Project Progress

Works are progressing well on our listed building project in the centre of St Albans, occupying a prominent position fronting St Peter’s Square.
The permitted demolition of the internal rear sections of the building, identified as being of lesser historic significance, has now been completed. With this phase finished, the process of rebuilding, improving and converting the building has begun.
New blockwork and brick external walls are being constructed to form a new courtyard, alongside new flat roofs which will become external terraces. The installation of structural steelwork has also begun, and reinstatement of the existing tiled roof is now underway.
As with all listed buildings, the construction team is working closely with the local conservation officer to carefully monitor and record all works to the historic elements of the building.
It’s great to see this project progressing for our client, Mansion Residential, as we bring new life to an important building in the heart of St Albans. We look forward to sharing further updates as work progresses.
