Site Visit to Holy Trinity Church, Drayton Parslow

The Benchmark Architects team recently visited the picturesque village of Drayton Parslow to carry out a site visit at Holy Trinity Church, where we are leading sensitive improvement works to upgrade the facilities at this historic 14th-century building.

Set high on the hill and forming the village’s most prominent landmark, Holy Trinity Church is a key part of the community’s identity. With the project now nearing completion, our latest visit was a chance to see how the sensitive upgrades are taking shape on site, and to appreciate how the interventions are enhancing the church’s usability while preserving its historic character.

Working closely with the Drayton Parslow Parish Council, our aim is to ensure that the church continues to serve both its congregation and the wider village for generations to come. The proposed upgrades include essential improvements to accessibility and usability, enhancing the space without compromising its historic fabric.

This project is a perfect example of how thoughtful architecture can support rural communities, helping preserve cherished buildings while adapting them for modern needs. It has been a pleasure working closely with Drayton Parslow Parish Council, and we’re excited to be part of this meaningful local heritage project.
