Planning Permission in Great Brickhill

Planning Permission in Great Brickhill

We are pleased to announce that we have received planning permission for a replacement dwelling in the village of Great Brickhill.

Lodgehill House is a 5 bedroom new build dwelling replacing an existing run down house on the site. The site is located between Great Brickhill and Little Brickhill and is surrounded by mature trees on a sloping site that is very secluded and provides amazing countryside views.
We have designed the house so as not to appear overbearing and to respond to the countryside setting of the site. The house therefore appears as a collection of smaller buildings with a rural/agricultural feel which are externally clad in stonework and timer cladding reminiscent of the rural vernacular.
We have utilised the slope of the site to nestle the house into the landscape with the front of the house appearing as a single storey whilst at the rear it appears as two storeys. The design reinforces the single storey feel by featuring a stone plinth storey to the rear onto which the single storey entrance level sits creating a house that respects and compliments the site's character.
