This Earth Day, we're proud to reflect on the meaningful steps we've taken as a practice to reduce our environmental impact and help create a more sustainable built environment.
🌍 Carbon Neutral for Multiple Years
We're proud to have achieved carbon neutral status for multiple years in a row. By measuring our carbon footprint and working with Carbon Neutral Britain, we have taken meaningful steps to offset emissions and reduce our environmental impact.
This commitment forms part of our wider goal to continuously reduce our carbon footprint and work towards a more sustainable future.
🌳 Tree Planting Initiatives
Tree planting continues to be a key part of our sustainability journey. Over the past few years, our team has taken part in multiple planting initiatives, helping to support biodiversity and offset carbon emissions.
In 2026, the Benchmark Architects team planted 200 trees in partnership with the Forest of Marston Vale. This initiative included a variety of native species such as oak, Scots pine, hornbeam, field maple and wild cherry, all native species that will support wildlife and strengthen the local landscape for years to come.
These initiatives not only help offset carbon emissions but also create meaningful team engagement and a shared commitment to sustainability.
