Benchmark Architects Signs the Milton Keynes Neurodiversity Charter

At Benchmark Architects, we’re proud to announce that we have signed the Milton Keynes Neurodiversity Charter, joining a growing number of local organisations committed to building a more inclusive and understanding city.

The Charter, developed by the Milton Keynes Umbrella Project, is the next step in a wider movement celebrating neurodiversity across our community. Following the success of the stunning Umbrella Display in Midsummer Place, the Charter aims to create lasting change through education, advocacy, and celebration.

The Milton Keynes Neurodiversity Charter is driven by the principal aims of the MK Umbrella Project:
• To EDUCATE – by providing knowledge, busting myths, and sharing lived experiences.
• To ADVOCATE – by reframing perspectives and shifting the narrative towards acceptance and support.
• To CELEBRATE – by shining a light on strengths and the positives of difference.

By signing the Charter, Benchmark Architects has pledged to uphold these values across all areas of our practice, from the way we design and collaborate, to how we support our team and engage with clients and partners.

Signing the Milton Keynes Neurodiversity Charter is more than a symbolic gesture, it’s a promise to keep learning, listening, and evolving. We look forward to working alongside other signatories, sharing best practices, and contributing to Milton Keynes’ journey towards becoming a truly neuroinclusive city.
