A Greener Benchmark

A Greener Benchmark

At Benchmark Architects, we have been working hard to fine-tune our green initiative to embed a greener outlook into the heart of the company. We are committing to becoming more sustainable to help tackle climate change, increase biodiversity, and offset carbon emissions.

To offset our carbon emissions, we must concentrate on cultural changes, the impact of our business practices, our design approach, and establish a specific target plan.

Our goal is to achieve net zero by 2030. To achieve this, we will plant a tree for each project we undertake. We have also joined Architects Declare, a network of UK-based architectural practices dedicated to tackling the climate and biodiversity crisis.

As part of the initiative, we are implementing cultural changes such as green team initiative days, informative seminars, virtual meetings, and alternative transportation options. We offer a variety of schemes for commuting to work in a more sustainable manner.

As we acknowledge the significant impact we can make, we are making modifications to our design approach. Our focus is on achieving a sustainable change in the built environment through a strategic approach that includes materials and specifications, energy and water usage, design, site planning, and internal environment for the wellbeing of individuals.

This year, we took a significant step by collaborating with Carbon Neutral Britain, and to spread awareness about our initiative, we have created a leaflet for our team.

We can’t wait to explore and implement our ideas and plans and take you with us on this journey.
