Planning Approval for Residential Development in Lower Stondon

Plans have been approved for a residential development in Lower Stondon, Bedfordshire. The approval consists of demolishing an underused bungalow and in its place, the new scheme will provide two 5-bedroom houses in an established residential setting.

The design of the proposals has been carefully considered to sit well within the streetscape and respond positively to the existing surroundings in terms of mass and scale. Each dwelling will have car parking, cycle, and refuse storage, and a private garden providing good-sized external amenity areas. The houses have been designed to be universally accessible.

The development will utilise the existing amenity space of the underused bungalow, making a positive contribution to the area by providing much needed family housing. The materials proposed for the design of the facade take influence from the surrounding material palette and are of high quality with contemporary architectural detailing.
