An Update on our Luton Residential Development, Cumberland Street

Benchmark Architects is pleased to announce an instruction for the delivery of a new build-to-rent apartment scheme in the heart of Luton consisting of 207 flats across 12 stories. This development is a significant addition to the town’s residential offering and will provide much-needed housing for a growing population.

This will be the first higher-risk building that Benchmark Architects have progressed through to Gateway 2 under the Building Safety Act legislation. This legislation aims to ensure the safety of high-rise buildings and improve the regulation of construction practices. We are excited to be part of this development and look forward to working closely with the client and project team to reach a Gateway 2 submission to the Building Safety Regulator this summer.
