New Residential Development in North London

New build development to create 15 high quality new apartments. The proposals will provide a mix of 1, 2 and 3 bed dwellings, two commercial units at ground and basement level, a good provision of cycle storage which will encourage more sustainable travel, enclosed refuse storage and plant room and external landscaped amenity space.

Amenity space will also be provided at 1st floor for use of the two 1st floor apartments with the remaining apartments having private external amenity in the form of balconies.

The building design has been carefully considered drawing on the historic influences around the site and within the surrounding context of the adjacent Conservation Area. With the front elevation being designed to create a visually interesting building which is contemporary in its aesthetic but also responsive to the historic context in which it is set. The design of the main elevation provides a strong design rhythm and architectural language both vertically and horizontally in terms of the window/door arrangement.

The elevation is enhanced through the choice of materials which echoes the listed building to the rear of the site including the adjacent buildings. The Material palette will include stone string course, Double soldier course, black standing seam, full height glazing, metal balustrade and window reveal.
