Last week the Benchmark team travelled to Huntingdon to see the new completed Huntingdon Crematorium.

It was great to see in person what the team have been working towards over the last few years. We were met by the client, who was absolutely delighted with the final result. The stunning circular, white brick crematorium, with gold accents, sits elegantly within the newly planted landscape. The building features a flexible multifaith hall, for 100 + people, associated crematory facilities, function rooms, and catering facilities. The site also includes 2,700 plots plus natural burial and has expansion provision.

Our team gained insights into the new modern and sustainable facility used in the crematorium, which includes two DFW electric cremators. Electric cremators can provide improved energy efficiency with single cremation saving approximately 113.4kg of CO2 emissions compared to a gas cremation.
